I/O can be traced and accelerated for all applications. Application specific metrics are also shown for specific applications such as Cassandra and KVM.
Linux distributions commonly seen in Today's data centers are supported such as Red Hat, CentOS, Ubuntu, and SLES.
Any local or remote mount (other than the root partition itself) using or formatted with EXT3/4, XFS, NFSv3, or AutoFS can be traced and accelerated by PerfAccel.
Both server and client software can run within guest machines running supported OS and using storage formatted with supported file systems. Guest hardware must also satisfy minimum requirements.
Very little overhead is seen on a host running PerfAccel and this is quickly absorbed by the 3-8X application acceleration seen when PerfAccel Caching is also being utilized.
